Dermal Needling
Skin Needling, also referred to as Micro-Needling or Collagen Induction Therapy, is a technique that uses very fine needles to create controlled micro-channels in the skin.
This process helps to activate the skin’s natural repair response and supports new collagen formation, which may assist in improving overall skin texture and tone.
Skin needling is considered a minimally invasive procedure performed at the surface of the skin using medical-grade equipment by trained practitioners. A thorough consultation is recommended to determine individual suitability and expected outcomes.

At the London Skin clinic, we offer the latest and most effective skin needling treatments available. These treatments are ideal for people with any concerns of aging skin, these concerns including visible signs of:
- Dull skin colour (due to less blood flow)
- Drooping facial shape (due to a decrease in collagen)
- Skin feels dehydrated, and slightly rough
- Wrinkles and folds and fine lines
- Scars, post surgery scars, acne scars
- Stretch marks (pregnancy or weight gain)
- Eye bags, wrinkles and dark circles
- Hair loss – to improve thinning hair
If you want to look years younger but are looking for a less invasive treatment that cosmetic surgery – then dermal needling is for you. The treatment is a powerful skin hydrator that plumps up the area of treatment, encouraging your skin to boost into repair mode to give you back that overall lift, smoother texture and brings back vibrancy by naturally delaying signs of ageing.
The most common areas treated are the face, décolletage, thighs, buttocks, abdomen and waistline. The upper arms, under the chin and lower cheeks can also be treated. The dermal needling pen used in our treatments do not leave scratches and produce less irritation and redness, it is easier to handle for smaller areas like eyes and lip contours.
Unlike derma roller, it is possible to adapt the needle length to each treatment zone and as the pen is vertical the micro wounds are rounder leading to better absorption of growth factors into your skin.
At the London Skin Clinic, we use the latest skin needling technology, our needling pens have an adaptable needle length from 0.1 up to 2.5mm. Numbing cream is applied prior to treatment and using very small needles there is no pain.
Skin needling helps the absorption of sterilised formulations containing peptides, growth factors, hyaluronic acid, organic silicon, natural extracts, vitamins and amino acids. These growth factors then activate multipotent stem cells already in the skin (tricking them into “thinking” there’s been an injury resulting new, younger skin tissue to be generated)

At The London Skin Clinic, we provide advanced skin-needling procedures using medical-grade technology designed to support overall skin health.
These procedures may be suitable for individuals wishing to address visible skin concerns such as dullness, uneven tone, changes related to collagen decline, textural roughness, fine lines, superficial scarring, stretch-mark appearance, or areas of redness and pigmentation. Skin-needling techniques can also be used on the scalp in selected cases to support general hair- and skin-health goals.
Dermal-needling treatments are performed by trained practitioners following consultation to determine suitability and expected outcomes. The procedure uses a precision-controlled pen to create fine micro-channels in the skin, helping to activate its natural repair response and support collagen renewal.
Commonly treated areas include the face, décolletage, thighs, buttocks, abdomen, and upper arms. Needle depth and technique are adjusted for different treatment zones to maintain comfort and accuracy.
Each client’s response will vary, and results depend on multiple individual factors. For personalised information, please contact our clinical team at hrhnorwood@londonskin.com.au.
At The London Skin Clinic, we perform skin-needling procedures using medical-grade devices with adjustable needle depths ranging from 0.1 to 2.5 mm, allowing precise customisation for different treatment areas.
A topical anaesthetic cream is applied beforehand to enhance comfort during the procedure.
Skin-needling can support the absorption of sterile formulations that include selected peptides, vitamins and amino acids, helping to activate the skin’s natural renewal processes.
The treatment aims to encourage healthy-looking skin by promoting its own restorative responses over time.
